Arno Carstens is one of those great South African performers that I had not had the privilege of listening to until last night.
This frontline guitarist and vocalist founded The Springbok Nude Girls, but now performs solo with some backing musicians. I saw him at Die Boer in Durbanville, which was preceded by dinner and some great wine.
Arno has played around the world and supported the likes of the Rolling Stones, the Simple Minds and some other big names in the music world. His poetic vocals are captivating and profound and his energy on stage is electric. In my opinion he is a must see.
